Sonja Gerberding – Head of Course Development & Students Happiness Manager
Vegan Nutritionist, editor, passionately inventive
My tasks at ecodemy: Together with Susan, I manage the development and continuous improvement of your course books. My main task is to ensure that the content is easy to understand and that you are able to enjoy the learning process. Furthermore, I provide you with all the information you need about our trainings. When you’re reaching out to our help center, you will get an answer from me and I can help you with any “How does this work?”. I am the author behind all of our info brochures and website texts.
To me, the spirit of ecodemy is: Hope.
I became vegan: In early 2014, originally for ethical reasons; now I am connected with the vegan lifestyle holistically.
My way into the team: I am one of the first VEA graduates (January 1, 2017 – May 26, 2017). I was enthusiastic about ecodemy right from the beginning of the course. As soon as I got the opportunity to become part of the team and bring in my professional and personal skills, I immediately agreed. Since April 2017, I am a wholehearted part of ecodemy.
What makes me happy: Spring, a blue sky and sunshine, plant-based oil soaps, laughing, authentic connections, supporting and promoting the vegan idea through my work together with my wonderful colleagues.
Some more facts about myself: Creativity in its diverse forms is my motor of life. Painting, writing, handcrafts, music – all of it grounds me and gives me wings at the same time. I get the best ideas when I’m relaxed – which means I often jump out of bed just before falling asleep to write down my latest idea for your courses. I like to change perspectives, I can empathize with people and see the world through their eyes, which makes me a specialist in answering “What do our clients really need?”.
